The host company of the festival represents a stage version of Dostoevsky’s great work. Having kept the basic subject lines of the novel and the main characters, the directors of the performance offer a religious-mystical approach to understanding the classic plot of a well-known novel.
The scenic space is inhabited by the sinners painfully looking for an exit from their senseless and dirty life and reminds an unreal ship-phantom. In the centre of this world there is Rascolnikov’s soul broken by passions and which looks for Repentance, and through it to Christ's Belief.
